Night Ops: build the set first
Night Ops is the main chip farming route. Complete a coherent hero-specific set before endlessly replacing one piece for a perfect roll. Select guaranteed chip rewards to fill a missing slot where the shop allows it. Random drops are not proof that a particular hero is favored. [S19, S21]
Choose the right hero
A boss specialist can clear above a suggested BP if played correctly; Iida is a documented example. However, a fragile setup that loses its combo during the boss phase may be slower than a simpler carry. Use the character rotation you can execute, then improve it. [S07, S31]
Chip checklist
Confirm hero/set identity; check the correct type stat; inspect all revealed rolls; compare the set effect and real performance before replacing a developed chip. Do not overclock a random chip solely because it has a larger visible BP number. Crit rate, crit damage and penetration are candidates, not an identical compulsory order for every hero.
Hero Rating: every hero matters
Use rating stages to learn unfamiliar characters and earn permanent account improvements. Move your good transferable support cards to the hero you are currently testing. Read stage conditions and select actives for the enemy count. A basic kit explanation may be more useful than an endgame rotation at this point. [S20, S25]
Troubleshooting a timer loss
Ask whether the hero spent too long out of range, used a low-value ultimate, missed a burst window or dropped a transformation. Fix the play sequence before assuming additional levels will solve everything.
Disputed farming claims
Community accounts disagree about the value of the Night Ops shop buff and rare bonus encounters. The collected posts do not establish drop probabilities or prove a hidden account-luck change. Check the buff wording and avoid treating anecdotes as rates. [S21]
